Summer Sit and Sew!
Join us in the air conditioned Community Room in the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library on Saturday July 8 and August 12!
We’ll be meeting from 9:30 til about 2:30 to sew on our own projects or to work on philanthropy quilts. Bring your sewing machine and cords, including an extension cord, your sewing supplies, a beverage and something to add to the provided salad. You could bring a dessert to share!
There will be philanthropy kits you can work on, and batting and backing fabrics. If you are interested in learning how to sew receiving blankets for Gently Hugged, bring whatever flannel you have in your stash at home.
There will be lots of conversation and laughter, help for whatever sewing challenges you are facing, and books to buy at the library’s monthly used book sale!
