Welcome to Village Quilters Guild!
What’s New?
- March 2023
Spring at Village Quilters
Some of us are happy to quilt when we have the time. Others, like our March 11 guest Carolina Moore, design patterns, write books, teach on their own YouTube channel and design their own sewing notions. Carolina, a local San Diegan, is going to talk to us about her favorite notions and no doubt answer our many questions.
In April, our own Cindy Feagle will be our guest to talk about all the tips and tricks she’s learned in sewing bags, from project bags to hand bags. She will be showing a collection of what she has sewn and will teach us specifically how to make a ruler bag, something very handy to have when packing for retreat, class or sit and sews.
We are going on a field trip in May to Visions Museum of Textile Arts in Liberty Station. Visions is a small but very unique museum dedicated to quilts and other fiber arts. A docent will take us on a tour of their current exhibits, and afterwards we will gather for lunch at the nearby house of one of our members.
And of course we will end this season of special monthly programs with our annual potluck in June.
